Outside Interests:

I am originally from the Rock Island/Moline area. I attended Alleman High School and then continued on to Augustana College. During that time I worked for Hinzman Construction as a laborer and became well acquainted with all aspects of the construction industry. After graduating college I attended Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where I developed a passion for Obstetrics and Gynecology. I completed my residency at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in OB/GYN. My wife, Laura, and I have two children Nona and Wirth. We enjoy the outdoors. In our spare time we love boating, cycling, skiing and traveling.

I am passionate about providing care for women throughout each phase of their lives. This ranges from family planning and pregnancy care to making a smooth transition into menopause. I believe that high-quality care results from the patient/physician relationship where knowledge, communication and compassion are at the forefront. Through this relationship I can work together with my patients to create an individualized plan of care.
