In Memory of Dr. Dianne Giammetta
The Medical Arts family is in mourning over the tragic death of Dianne Giammetta, M.D. Dianne and her husband were killed when the small plane he was piloting went down in rural Kentucky.
Dianne graduated from Bettendorf H.S., trained at the University of Iowa and University of Cincinnatti. She joined Medical Arts in 1992 and delivered in excess of 3000 “bundles of joy” to Quad City parents. In addition to her busy private practice she was the Medical Director of the Family Planning Program operated by the Rock Island County Board of Health, was Past President of the Medical Staff at UnityPoint, current Department Chair of the OB-Gyn Department, and served in a leadership role on numerous committees. She also was on the Clinical Faculty thru the University of Iowa and Certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dianne’s loss to the community will be felt for a long time, but patient care will not suffer. The remaining five OB-Gyn providers at Medical Arts have opened their schedules. Patients with future appointments are being called to assure the continuity of her compassionate care.
